Large Warrior-3 Pk
A new organic innovation for container gardening! The 7-inch Root Warrior (198mm x 215mm) is designed to fit into 12 and up to 35-gallon plant containers with a height of 16 inches or more. It will work effectively in any container material—plastic, clay, ceramic, wood, or metal. Simply place the Root Warrior over the plant container's drain hole and plant normally.
The Upper Reservoir holds 2.6 fluid ounces of water that keeps the surface soil moist. Surface moisture helps reduce "transplant shock" and assists in the early development of a vigorous root system.
The Lower Reservoir volume is 21 fluid ounces. The reservoir is designed to hold and to redistribute moisture recharging the soil at Field Capacity
Nutrient Channels are located in the Lower Reservoir to collect minerals and nutrients that leach from the soil during watering and to keep them available for the root system of the vegetation to absorb. Consumer interest in nutrient-rich vegetables involves providing the plants with at least 16 elements. While the non-mineral elements of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen are supplied by air and water, the primary nutrients of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium; the secondary elements of calcium, magnesium, and sulfur; and micronutrients of boron, copper, chlorine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, and zinc are supplied in the soil. The Root Warrior has been engineered to make it easier for the root system to absorb these 16 elements in container gardens.
What to plant?
Many horticulturalists recommend 20-gallon containers for bigger vegetables such as tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplants, and summer squash…at least 15-gallon or more. The 7-inch Root Warrior is the perfect solution.
More recently, the popularity of dwarf fruit trees such as kumquats, oranges, limes, and lemons simply thrive in containers fitted with a Root Warrior. Other orchard fruits that can be grown as a bush dwarfing root-stock include figs, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, cherries, and plums.
And the 7-inch Root Warrior is perfect for large outdoor shrubs and/or large indoor houseplants and trees.
